about
People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Sometimes you feel stuck, overwhelmed, consumed with struggles. Other times, you need extra support and the space to be heard.
Therapy is a place where you can speak freely, gain curiosity, make meaning and ultimately feel relief. In my practice, I collaborate with patients to create a space where you are respected, listened to and encouraged. Our work will allow you to increase insight and motivation, as well as to gain skills to help live a happier and more fulfilling life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in Brooklyn, New York. I have been working in the field for more than 25 years. I received my Bachelors Degree from Wesleyan University and a Masters of Social Work from New York University. I am affiliated with the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, where I completed a two year post-graduate training program in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
I have worked with adults and adolescents in a variety of settings - schools, community centers and out-patient clinics. For many years, I worked as an Adjunct at New York University in the Silver School of Social Work and for numerous social service organizations in the area of youth development and program management.
